Workcapital has joined the Alliance for Childhood Vaccination to save the lives of millions of children who are daily exposed to serious diseases as a result of their inaccessibility to vaccines.
Childhood vaccination is one of the biggest health challenges worldwide, and even more so in recent years due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
La la Caixa Foundation” created this Alliance in 2008, together with “Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance”, implementing an innovative corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at providing companies with the possibility of collaborating in this solidarity project, guaranteeing that the integrity of their contributions is used for the vaccination of boys and girls.

The objective of this organization is the fight against infant mortality, facilitating the access of infants to vaccination and improving the health system of the most impoverished countries.
Since its creation in 2000, Gavi has helped immunize more than 888 million children, thus helping to prevent more than 15 million deaths.
The donation made by Workcapital to the Alliance for Child Vaccination will be multiplied by four thanks to the commitment of the "la Caixa" Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, so that everyone's efforts are redoubled to ensure the health and growth of children.

Each contribution goes towards distributing vaccines in Mozambique and Ethiopia to prevent pneumonia, the leading cause of infant mortality from infectious diseases globally. This Alliance has already contributed to vaccinating more than 8 million children under 5 years of age who will be able to live longer, healthier and more productive lives.
